His mouth opens and lies fall from it, they swirl around me warm and comforting.
This warmth settles onto my skin like a soft blanket then sinks in through my pores to warm my insides.
The warmth fills me and my heart beats slowly, soothed by these lies that I choose to believe.
The warmth that has cocooned my heart turns into the cold steel of razor blades, and as each lie is realized they slash into my heart.
The pain is unbearable, and I am helpless to stop it. My body writhes with this pain, and the blood from these wounds seem to pour from my eyes through the hot tears that cover my face.
As I sink down onto the floor, I wrap my arms around myself, trying to find the warmth that has left me but I am alone with the realization that there is nothing left but the wounds that are unable to heal.
